The Jay Deep Contour Cushion is low maintenance cushion designed for an individual at very high risk of skin breakdown, unable to weight shift and/or has limited postural stability. It consists of a firm, pre-contoured foam base with a gel tripad. The foam base is rigid and therefore provides a great, firm base of support. It can be easily modified with secondary components to meet the unique seating needs of a particular individual.

At a height of 11.4cm, the Jay Deep Contour is the thickest Jay cushion available. It is an appropriate cushion for an individual with extreme long term risk of skin breakdown, symmetrical to aggressive postural needs and/or inability to weight shift.

Contoured Foam Base

This foam base is constructed from closed cell foam, making it a rigid structure. The rigidity of the base allows for secondary modifications to be made, so that a variety of postural needs can be met. The contoured base further provides exceptional lateral and forward stability. Enhancing comfort and positioning further for individuals with changing needs or unique postures.

Jay Flow Fluid Tripad

This Jay flow fluid tripad is found on top of the contoured foam base. The gel tripad conforms to each individual’s shape, adjusts to sitting positions and ensures proper fluid placement beneath bony prominences. This protects the skin from breakdown and the development of pressure sores. It requires no maintenance and can be cleaned easily. It is much thicker when compared to the Jay 2 tripad.

Air-vented, Stretch Cushion Cover

The Jay Deep Contour Cushion Cover as a two-way stretch. This allows for proper immersion and prevents an increase in pressure which can result from surface tension. The air-vented surface promotes airflow and dissipates heat and moisture. This keeps the surface of the cushion and the individual clean and dry. Preventing skin breakdown from a damp surface.
