Product Features

Large Front Castor

The Rainbow has two 8″ x 1″ castors. The larger size castor wheel allows the user to navigate uneven surfaces easily, without adding too much extra rolling resistance.

Removable Sports Armrests

These armrests don’t have a flat armpad on their top surface. Instead they have soft foam tube. This provides a more streamlined design and allows the user better access to the rear wheels, without the armrest pads getting in the way. These armrests are removal by pressing in a click and pulling them upwards.

EASILY FOLDED

The Rainbow Wheelchair is easily folded by lifting the seat upwards. The chair becomes nice and compact for loading into a vehicle or storing in a cupboard. Ensure that you have flipped the footrest plates upwards, otherwise they will stop the chair from folding.

Quick-release Footrests

The footrests on the Rainbow Wheelchair can be removed easily by pressing the black clip on the footrest towards the middle of the chair. This clip releases the footrest and it can be swang outwards and removed. To put the footrest back on, place it onto the two metal guides, swing it towards the middle of the chair until you hear a ‘click’.

Q: Where is the Rainbow Wheelchair manufactured?
A: The Rainbow is manufactured in our factory in Johannesburg, South Africa

Q: Does it fold up and can it be put in a vehicle?
A: Yes, it folds and can be transported easily in a car. The footrests can be removed to make the length of the chair shorter, allowing it to fit into smaller car boots.

Q: What Guarantee does it come with?
A: All CE Mobility’s products have a “Carry in guarantee”. This chair has a 12 month Guarantee. The guarantee excludes consumable parts, such as tyres and bearings, which are affected by wear and tear.

Q: Does it come with a cushion?
A: No, all cushions are sold separately. There are a wide variety of options available to suit your pressure care and comfort needs.

Q: What adjustments/options are available?
A: None, there are no options or changes available for the rainbow wheelchair. The CE Rainbow is sold as is, if you require other options, you will need to look at the CE Cruiser wheelchair.

Q: Will my medical aid pay?
A: Yes, a CE sales consultant will gladly assist you in getting the claim processed. Some medical aids/funders do have exclusions or frequency limits that relate to particular equipment items. Please check with your medical aid/funder directly to confirm your Appliance benefit available to you.

Repairs & Maintenance

When you purchase your wheelchair and various mobility devices, ensure your supplier has the repair and service backup you will need in the future. We carry spare parts for all our products and with trained technicians to service and repair any product you purchase from us, you can rest assured that your product will last many years in the future
